About us

Our organization was founded in 1990 with the goal of helping dyslexic children in Hungary, we are members of the European Dyslexia Association. Our activities are: safeguarding interests, educating parents and teachers about dyslexia, and organizing conferences.

In short, it can be said that dyslexia in Hungary is not a well recognized problem, many parents and teachers are not even aware of the existence of such a difficulty, even though it affects 10% of the children. There is no general testing, teachers are not trained to recognize the problem, and there are only a few professionals who treat dyslexia.

The problem of unaware teachers is closely related to the fact that primary school teachers are not prepared to cope with children with different skill-levels, social backgrounds or learning disabilites, so we are working with other organizations addressing these problems.

Our organization's goal is to get every child tested in preschool and to get teachers educated to recognize, and trainers to treat dyslexia.
